She was the Chairperson, National Integration Council of A.I.C.C. In 1958 she was appointed as a Member for Central Parliamentary Board of Congress. Gandhi became a Member, Congress Working Committee and Central Election of the party in 1955. She got married to Feroze Gandhi on Maand had two sons.
